Mt. Pleasant Primary School is situated 65km from Adelaide at the south eastern end of the Barossa Council area. Our school is a success orientated, optimistic learning community. Students develop the skills and attitudes necessary to promote and participate in a sustainable future and to be successful citizens in a changing world. In addition to being pro-active in developing links with the local community, we also promote and encourage positive family school relationships.

Student wellbeing is promoted with a range of initiatives and practices such as daily fitness, healthy lunches, and the implementation of a social resiliency program. We have a Christian Pastoral Care Worker, who further supports student wellbeing. Class meetings, at all year levels contribute to decision-making including policy development. We also have a Year 5/6/7 Student Representative Council (SRC). All classrooms have interactive whiteboards which provide staff with the opportunity to embed digital resources into their teaching and learning programs. A continuing school focus is environmental care and sustainability with several programs in place including a native wildlife enclosure.
